The framework

8 dimensions.
3 levels.
One honest picture.

Most programs assess what you are building. This framework assesses who is building it.

The starting point for the framework is identifying the most important dimensions in entrepreneurship and then carefully designing a questionnaire and assessment model which gives you a personalised visual radar profile — showing exactly where you are strong and where to focus your development.

The 8 dimensions

What we are really assessing

Each dimension targets a specific aspect of founder readiness. The questionnaire surfaces what you have actually done — not what you intend to do or believe you are capable of.

Sample readiness profile
01
Motivation
Why you start, and how you sustain yourself
Digs into financial sacrifice and time investment. Do you care enough to push through tough times?
02
Money
Business economics and personal financial exposure
Money changes behaviour. Assesses your personal financial situation alongside the finances of the business.
03
Action
Your readiness to move from thinking to doing
The single most predictive behaviour: have you ever shipped something imperfect?
04
Adaptability
Comfort with ambiguity and ability to pivot
Are you in love with the problem or your solution? Can you let go of sunk cost when the evidence demands it?
05
Lifestyle
Is your current life compatible with founding a startup?
One of the strongest predictors of founder sustainability — and the most overlooked. Money changes behaviour. So does family situation..
06
Leadership
Leading people beyond vision alone
Tests leadership without institutional authority — have people followed you without guaranteed reward?
07
Sales
Your readiness to create demand and close deals
The only question that cannot be inflated: actual revenue generated. Distinguishes between sales exposure and sales outcomes.
08
Fundraising
Readiness to raise capital and navigate investors
Knowledge of fundraising is weighted at the minimum — it can be acquired in a weekend. Real capital raised carries the highest weight.
Readiness levels

A progression, not a verdict.

Each dimension is assessed across 3 levels. Most founders sit at different levels across different dimensions — and that variability is exactly the data you need.

FRL 1
Curious &
Exploring
Beginning to understand what entrepreneurship really requires. Inspired and interested — but not yet deeply tested.
  • Motivated by the idea of founding
  • Limited real-world founder experience
  • Has not yet tested core assumptions
1
FRL 2
Actively
Developing
Deliberately building understanding, skills, and self-awareness. Asking harder questions. Starting to act on them.
  • Testing assumptions with real people
  • Reflecting honestly on personal readiness
  • Beginning to take meaningful action
2
FRL 3
Operationally
Ready
Functioning as a founder — navigating real decisions, building habits, and operating with confidence in this dimension.
  • Demonstrated behavioural evidence
  • Real skin in the game
  • Ready to act — not just to plan

An FRL1 in one dimension does not mean you are not ready to found. It means you have a clear, specific development priority. That clarity is exactly what the assessment is designed to produce.
